Obituary of Charles R. Perry
Charles R. “Peanut” Perry, 66, of Dunkirk, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, NY.
He was born on November 8, 1956 in Westfield, NY the son of the late John Jr. and Mary Jane (Gervaise) Perry. On July 22, 1995 he married the former Judi Artise in Fredonia, NY.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 37 yrs Judi Perry of Dunkirk, NY; five sons, Ryan (Kristine),Kyle and Brandon Perry all of Dunkirk, Kevin (Kristin) of Fredonia, NY and Adam (Brandi) Grisanti of Naples, Fl.; ten cherished grandchildren, Caleb and Paige Mullen, Bryan Thurston, , Autumn Grisanti, Paige and Emma Perry, Gavin Grisanti, Zayne , Sawyer and Hayden Perry; three sisters, Susan Lisa, Sharon Hogg and Sonia (Floyd Salzman) Pearl all of Silver Creek; a brother, Grant (Karen Zierk) of Dunkirk; sister-in-law, Brenda (Mark) Drummond; a brother-in-law, Russell (Trish) Artise; two aunts, Doris Kelly and Bonnie (Ron) Percy; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John “Butch” Perry III and Russell Perry.
Chuck worked as a sanitation supervisor for Carriage House Companies in Fredonia before they closed and he retired. He also was an integral part of Perry’s Garage in Dunkirk, NY.
Chuck was passionate about cars and thoroughly enjoyed working on them with his boys. He loved NASCAR his favorite driver was Rusty Wallace. He also liked tinkering on all different types of lawn mowers, finding them, fixing them and selling them. He was known for being extremely outgoing and would talk to anybody. He was very proud of celebrating 35 years of sobriety which he would have reached in March 2023. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 4-7 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3 PM. Interment will be in the Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation and service hours were changed due to inclement weather.
