Obituary of Suzanne M Blankenberg

Suzanne M. “Susie” Blankenberg, 66, of Silver Creek, NY passed away Thursday evening, August 4, 2022, at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo with her family by her side.

She was born in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of Carl and Diana (Miserendino) Seegert. On February 14, 1987 she married Paul G. Blankenberg  at the First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek.

Susie is survived by her mother, Diana Seegert of Silver Creek; her loving husband, Paul Blankenberg; two daughters, Jenna (Christopher) Windus of Olean, NY and Sara (Zachary) Kasperak of Fort Rucker, AL.; four cherished grandchildren, Gabriel, Xander, Nora and Charleigh; a brother, Walter (Elaine) Seegert of Buffalo, NY; two nieces; Rebecca Seegert and Melissa Nopwaski;  a sister-in-law, Kathy Seegert of Silver Creek.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Seegert and a brother, Thomas Seegert.

Susie was a 1974 graduate of Silver Creek High School. She was employed in the medical field as a registered nurse. She worked in the ER and ICU for Buffalo General Hospital and TLC Lakeshore Hospital in Silver Creek.

Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Monday, August 15, 2022 from noon  to 2 PM, where a memorial service will be held at 2 PM. Fr. Daniel Fiebelkorn of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel  RC Church will officiate. Interment will be private in the Glenwood Cemetery, Silver Creek.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions please be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
