Obituary of Bea Ortolano

Beatrice W. “Bea” Ortolano, 90, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

Bea was born on May 9, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Teofil and Sofie (Suzek) Sowinski. She married the love of her life, George J. Ortolano on June 1, 1957 in Buffalo, NY He preceded her in death on June 19, 2019.

Surviving are two loving children, Mary Kay Ortolano of Clarence Center, NY and Paul (Tina) Ortolano of Silver Creek, NY; two cherished grandchildren, Rose (Justis) MacKenzie and Laci Ortolano.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alfreda Kwapich.

Bea was a 1950 graduate of Buffalo East High School. She worked with her husband George in the family business, George Ortolano Inc. an excavating business located in Silver Creek.

Her memberships included Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Church and the Fireman’s Club, she was a former member of the Tri-County Country Club.

Bea enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling and playing cards. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 2-4 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2PM. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Please join the family Sunday at 4 PM at the Fireman’s Club
