Obituary of Nora J. Greco

Obituary Nora J. Greco, 81, of Silver Creek ,NY passed away Friday evening October 26,2018 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo , She was born on February 24, 1937 in Angola, NY the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Minnie (Flitt) Christopher. On November 8 ,1958 she married the love of her life Joseph P. Greco Sr. at Most Precious Blood R.C. Church in Angola, NY. Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years; a daughter: Diane (Paul) Pagano of Silver Creek ; three grandchildren: Mandi Strek-Greco, Christopher and Marisa Pagano; a brother: Joseph (Jeanette) Christopher of Hamburg, NY: two sisters: Frances ( Phillip) Ricchiazza of Monrovia,Ca. and Gertie ( Joseph) Militello of Angola ,NY; two brother-in-laws: Russell Bonfessuto and Anthony Blanco. In addition to her parents Nora was preceded in death by a son Joseph Greco Jr., three sisters Geraldine Kozuch, Josie Blanco, and Phyllis Bonfessuto. Nora was a graduate of Lakeshore High School “ Class of 1955”. She worked as a lunch monitor for Silver Creek Central School and SUNY Fredonia in the Faculty Student Association office. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Silver Creek and a former member of the late St. John Bosco Church in Sheridan, NY, where she was very active in the Rosary Altar Society. Nora was a community minded individual, a conscientious parent involved in the PTA at her daughter’s school. Nora enjoyed baking , known for her famous “ Apple Pies”. She liked to go with her siblings on bus trips to the local casinos and Vegas. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave Silver Creek on Tuesday October 30,2018 from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Silver Creek,at 10a.m., Fr. Daniel Fiebelkorn celebrant. Committal will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
