Obituary
Cynthia M. “Cyndy” Klocko ,65, of Silver Creek, NY, died Friday evening November 23,2018 at Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.
She was born in Silver Creek on December 8, 1952, the daughter of the late Henry and Lucy (Calabrese) Hoisington. On July 27, 1985, she married James F. Klocko at the First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek.
Surviving are her husband; a son , Jonathon Klocko of Bemus Point ,NY ; a brother, Richard (Barbara) Hoisington of Cassadaga, NY; a brother-in-law, William (Ginny) Klocko of Annapolis ,Md.; two sister-in-laws, Helen Klocko of Ocala Fl. and Anne (Ernie) Klocko-Wong of Los Altos ,Ca.; several nieces ,nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two aunts, Josephine Foti and Mary Crino, an uncle, Joseph Calabrese; a cousin Benjamin Crino; a brother-in-law, David Klocko, a sister-in-law, Jean Klocko and her favorite pets, Benji and Jake Murphy.
Cyndy was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School in Dunkirk, NY, “ Class of 1970”. She served as the Village Clerk of Silver Creek for 31 years, also held the position of Treasurer, was on the Board of Elections, handled vital records and was a notary. She retired from BOCES as the Senior Clerk typist with 10 years of service.
Cyndy was a lovable person, her world revolved around the family, especially her great nephew, Jackson Hoisington, the light of her life.
There will be no public visitation A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church 165 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY at 10:00a.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Cyndy’s memory to the Humane Society of your choice.
