Obituary
Janet E. Parker, 81, of Irving, NY died Tuesday morning December 25, 2018 at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
She was born in Salamanca, New York on July 30, 1937 the daughter of the late Orin and Lillian (Twoguns) Plummer. On March 20,1959, she married Harold E. Parker Jr., and he preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2003.
Surviving is a son Harold E. Parker III of Irving, NY; seven grandchildren, Frank, Tanya, Deandra, Elissa, Dakota, Teresa and Wind Dancer Parker; also two nieces, and a nephew.
In addition to her parents and a husband of 44 years Janet was preceded in death by a son James P. Parker and a sister Anita M. Thompson.
Janet was the owner and operator of the former Darren’s BearClaw Smoke Shop in Irving, NY. She was a proud member of the Seneca Nation of Indians belonging to the Hawk Clan and the Good Shepherd Church in Irving, NY.
In the 1970’s Janet was an active member of the Heifer Project International, Boston, MA, a program helping to lift families out of poverty and hunger.
Janet was an accomplished seamstress who made outfits for all her grandchildren and nieces. She enjoyed cooking and making jewelry out of silver. In the summertime family and friends will gather at her house for the annual 4th of July party, a good time was had by all!
Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 2 until the 4p.m. funeral service. Burial will be private.
