Obituary of Debra L. Ortiz

Obituary Debra L. Ortiz, 56, of Silver Creek, NY passed away Saturday morning April 13, 2019 at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Debra was born in Silver Creek on December 19, 1962 the daughter of the late Robert and Rose (Holmstead) Lyle Sr. She attended Forestville and Silver Creek High School and was a member of the Silver Creek Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She married her soul mate Antonio Ortiz on June 14, 2002 at the Sunset Bay Fire Hall. Her hobbies included listening to country music, going to concerts, Panda Paws ice cream and going out to eat. In addition to her husband Debra is survived by a daughter, Amber Lyle of Cleveland, OH; two brothers, Robert (Ginger Bastion) Lyle of Forestville, NY and Carl Lyle of Dunkirk, NY; two grandchildren, Tamara Soggs and Dwayne White;aunt and uncle, Egler and Jerry Lyle of Sheridan,NY; two nieces, Christy Smathers and McKenzie Henhawk; a nephew, Aaron Henhawk; a great niece, Mia Smathers; a brother-in-law, Dave Smathers. She is preceded in death by a sister, Alice Smathers and two nephews, David and Charlie Smathers Family and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Thursday April 18, 2019 fro, 11:00 am-1:00p.m and 3:00p.m until the time of services at 5:00p.m. Interment will be private.
