Obituary
Diane D. Hall, age 74 of Irving, NY passed away on Saturday evening, February 22,2020 at her home. Mrs. Hall was born on April 3,1945 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline (Dahm) LaBombard.
Diane grew up in Gowanda, NY and was a 1963 graduate of Gowanda High School. She attended Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois where she studied Theology. On June 29,2001 she married Alan Hall at their home in “Sunset Bay” Irving, NY.
She worked for many years as a social worker at Beechwood Nursing Home, and Weinberg Nursing Home both in Getzville, NY.
Diane was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Tonawanda, NY; First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek, NY and the Trinity United Church of Christ in Gowanda. She enjoyed politics and was very involved in the local and county Democratic Party. She also was an active member of the Ladies auxiliary of the Samuel Cimino VFW Post 6472 in Silver Creek, NY. She looked after the local Veterans and prepared all year for the annual Children’s Christmas Party.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Alan Hall of Irving, NY; a daughter, Tonya Hollederer and her husband Gary of Grand Island, NY; a step-daughter, Shannon Briner and her husband Dave of O-Fallon, Missouri; a step-son, Christopher Hall and his wife Collett of Amherst, NY; eight grandchildren, Jill, Kristin, Bryan, Cory, Nathan, Alyona, Kaitlyn, and Corabella; also four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Parks.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Saturday, March 14,2020 from 11-1 p.m. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
