Obituary of Frank Flitt
Frank Flitt, 92, of Silver Creek passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 11, 1921 in the Town of Sheridan, the son of the late Vito and Nicoletta (Manzella) Flitt.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a combat engineer. He worked for many years for Roy Track Inc. in Buffalo, NY, as a laborer. Article Photos

He enjoyed hunting, liked to watch baseball, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Patricia (Degaetano) Flitt; two sons, James (Pat) Flitt of Louisville, Ky., and Joseph (Cynthia) Flitt of Buffalo, NY; two sisters, Angeline and Shirley Flitt of Silver Creek, NY; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Antonio and Carmen Flitt; and four sisters, Minnie Borrello, Mary Torregrossa, Josephine Arnold and Louise Villafranca.
Prayers will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek. Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m.
Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
