Thomas A. Cuccia
March 30,1953 – October 14,2020
Thomas A. Cuccia, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon at the Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.
He was born in Silver Creek, NY, the son of the late Charles and Helen (Kraft) Cuccia.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years , Lisa (Prosneick) Cuccia of Fredonia, NY; a loving daughter, Angela Cuccia of Fredonia; a cherished granddaughter, Arabella Cuccia of Fredonia; two brothers, Chuck and Danny Cuccia both of Fredonia; two sisters, Theresa ( Joseph) Abramo of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Diana (Butch) Piglowski of Dunkirk, NY; also survived by several nieces, nephews and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Jo Bushman.
Tom attended Dunkirk High School. He was a veteran who served in the United States Navy Seebees during the Vietnam War from June 9,1970- Dec. 4,1972. He worked for H. Olsen& Sons Contractors Inc. in Forestville for over 20 years as laborer and truck driver.
Tom liked working with his hands, so he taught himself how to upholster furniture and many other items, he became very accomplished at it and did jobs for many businesses in the area. He really enjoyed shooting pool, he played for Sara’s Tavern in Dunkirk in a local pool league. He listened to all types of music and taught himself to play the drums. Tom took great pride in his homemade spaghetti sauce and lentil soup which he proudly shared with family and friends. In addition, he avidly supported the Lakeshore Humane Society and would rescue any animal he could. Family was most important to him and he adored his granddaughter.
At the request of the deceased, services will be private. Interment will be made at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Silver Creek.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Thomas’s memory be made to: Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St. Dunkirk, NY 14048.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY.
