Obituary of Thomas Eugene Johnson
Thomas Eugene Johnson , 32 , of Buffalo, NY formerly of Silver Creek, NY died unexpectedly on Monday , December 28 ,2015 at his residence after a protracted battle with alcoholism.
Tommy was born on November 4 , 1983 in Buffalo , NY the beloved son of Robert and Mary ( Fezer )Johnson. An alumnus of Silver Creek Central School “ Class of 2001” he later attended and graduated from the State University of New York in Fredonia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid and Care Mart before obtaining a job as a Manager at Mobile Pharmacy Solutions.
Any event was more fun with him around. His love of family was a grounding value in his life. For enjoyment , Tommy started water skiing before he was teenager and continued to enjoy it whenever he had the chance. He began to play baseball in Little League and played with intramural leagues into his 30’s. He also enjoyed playing golf locally. During the summers , he always looked forward to outdoor gatherings and camping with friends . He was a strong competitor with his father and brothers on a racquetball court and a sore loser to his mother in Scrabble. He was known for his quick wit, and will be deeply missed by his friends , family , and all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his parents , Robert and Mary Johnson of Silver Creek, NY ,two brothers , Robert (Jacqueline) Johnson II of Montgomery , AL, and Christopher ( Amy) of Nashville , TN.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Robert and Carol ( Dotterwich) Johnson ,and his maternal grandparents , Eugene and Ella ( Pingitore) Fezer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday ,January 4, 2015 at 10a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church , 165 Central Ave. Silver Creek , NY .
Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Tommy’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church.
