Obituary of Helen Reitz

Helen Reitz , 88 , of Allegany Rd. Irving ,NY died Monday evening, March 28 ,2016 at Absolut at Orchard Park, Orchard Park , NY surrounded by her loving family. A long time resident of Sunset Bay , she was born on September 13 ,1927 in Munich , Germany a daughter of the late Joseph and Helene Benkhauser. In addition to being a homemaker , Helen worked as a floor supervisor for Bailey Mfg in Forestville , NY , for a number of years. She enjoyed working, being active and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel R.C. Church , Silver Creek VFW , and the Sunset Bay Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. Survivors include her son , Frank ( Kathy ) Reitz of Tonawanda , NY , nine grandchildren , Denise ( Nick) Rine , Denny Gromada , Colleen ( Thomas ) Turner , Marie Reitz , Jennifer , Charlene , and Lisa Buseck , Jack and Shawn Schrader , six great grandchildren , Alex , Michael , Joey , Matthew , Bradley , and Emma Bella ,three son – in –laws , Dennis Gromada of Buffalo , NY , Charles Buseck , of S. Carolina ,and Jack Schrader of Fredonia , NY. Besides her parents , Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 36yrs , Frank P.Reitz Jr. (1984) , and three daughters , Jeanette Gromada , Linda Buseck , and Jacqueline Schrader. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday , April 9 , 2016 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church , 165 Central Ave. , Silver Creek , NY. at 11:00 A.M. , Fr. Daniel Fiebelkorn will officiate . Private burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery . Arrangements are by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel , 160 Central Ave. , Silver Creek, NY.
