Obituary of Jerry R. Miller

Jerry R. Miller 69, of Irving, NY died unexpectedly on Monday evening June 6, 2016 at TLC Lakeshore Hospital in Irving, NY. He was born on May 23, 1947 in Buffalo ,NY , the son of the late Jerome and Sophie (Bentz) Miller. He was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School , Class of 1965. He worked in the foundry for Chevrolet Motor in Tonawanda, NY and as a brakeman for the South Buffalo Railroad in Lackawanna, NY. Jerry ‘s calling in life was the outdoors .He won many awards for his furs that he trapped ,trading them locally, in Canada and as far away as Russia . He was an avid hunter and fisherman and in the late 70’s and early 80’s he ran his own commercial fishing boat. He also was a member of the NRA. Jerry loved animals he had a parrot named “ Rainbow” ,his favorite dog was a goldendoodle “ Buddy”. He enjoyed feeding the wildlife and was passionate about gardening and cooking. Survivors include his beloved wife of 51yrs ,Kathleen( Geary )Miller ; dearest father of three sons, Jerry ( Rose)Miller of Forestville, NY ,Jason (Heather) Miller of Silver Creek, NY , and Matthew Miller of Silver Creek, NY; two daughters , Michelle ( Kevin) Czarnecki of Silver Creek, NY, and Jennifer ( Roland) Jones of Irving, NY, his one and only loving brother, Rick Miller of Irving, NY; devoted grandfather to six grandchildren , Dillon Miller, Mindy ( Jeremy)Kilgore, Sara Small , Rachel Czarnecki, Mikayla and Sebastian Miller; three great grandchildren, Cecilia Gymrek, Madison Kilgore and Jeremy Kilgore Jr., also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel , 160 Central Ave. ,Silver Creek, NY on Thursday from 2-4&6-8 p.m., from where a Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at 11a.m. with Rev.
