Anthony, Virginia, Judy, Judi, Biffy and all the family,
I have Many Fond Memories of Dear Aunt Mayme. She and My Dad were Very Close All of Their Lives, and we made Many visits to 5 Knight Street Extension to visit the Family, and they in turn made Many visits to us on Route 39 in Sheridan. Virginia and I had many Pajama Parties at 5 Knight St. and Aunt Mayme would Laugh at us and think we were Silly to have 'Crushes' on the Mangano Boys who lived nearby. She had the 'wisdom', but we had to experience life on our own. We always had Great Food and Much Fun riding bikes and playing games in the backyard along with "Cappie" (Captain, their Dog) I Still Proudly Display the Ceramic Rooster on top of my Refrigerator that she made. She had Great Attention to Detail -the White Rooster with Black stripes, and a Bright Red "Comb" on its head, along with the Bright Red 'Wattle" under its chin. I will always treasure it, as in Italian Families, it is a Symbol of Good Luck and Protection from danger. I also treasure the Prayer Cards she gave Rick and I for both a Marriage Blessing and Protection Prayer for Our Home. She will Forever be in our Hearts and Memories! Much Love, Marilyn & Rick
