Obituary of Albert J. Zanghi

Albert J. Zanghi Jr., 81, of Silver Creek, NY died unexpectedly Friday evening , September 2,2016 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. He was born on August 1,1935 in Silver Creek, the son of the late Albert J. and Mary ( Tenamore) Zanghi. Albert was a graduate of Silver Creek High School “ Class of 1953”.He served for more than 35 years in the New York Army National Guard retiring as a Sgt First Class. A lifelong Silver Creek resident, he worked with his father at the family garage “ Brownies” for a number of years, he was employed by Al Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk, and also as a security guard for various companies in the area. In his free time he enjoyed NASCAR was an avid Buffalo Bills fan , listened to Jazz music. First and foremost Albert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his children, Jeffrey Zanghi of Washington, D.C., Michael ( Deborah) Zanghi of Rochester, NY, Penny ( Charles) Hamm of Cleveland, Ohio and Shari Seibert of Silver Creek, NY, seven grandchildren, Patrick, Colin and Kevin Burns, Mikayla and Brenna Zanghi, Harley Seibert, and Dennis Gallivan, two great grandchildren, Ryleigh Davis and Max Gallivan, his former wife & close friend Sundi Ann Zanghi. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Robert c. Seibert.
