Constance “Connie” Thurn, 70, of Sheridan, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
She was born on August 1, 1946 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Parker) Adam.
Connie graduated from Riverside High School, Class of 1964.She married the love of her life Lawrence Thurn in 1965 and together they raised two beautiful daughters. She graduated from Buffalo State College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She then taught at Our Mother of Good Council School in Blasdell, NY until she retired.
Connie was known for her sense of humor and loved to laugh and have a good time. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home on the lake in Sheridan, NY. Connie was a member of the VFW’s women’s auxiliary in Silver Creek and was also a member of the Marine Corp auxiliary and Navy auxiliary
She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline (Jeremy) Furlani and Mary Thurn, four grandchildren, Hannah, Avery , Lawrence and Chelsea ,two brothers, Peter and Brant (Joann)Adam, and her dear companion, Edward Fik, also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Thurn.
