Obituary of Lanette LaRosa

Lanette LaRosa, 70, of Cattaraugus Indian Reservation died Thursday November 30, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was born on June 30, 1947 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Robert and Laurel (Bennett) Nephew. Lanette attended Grover Cleveland High School in Buffalo, NY and Bryant& Stratton College. She was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians Turtle Clan, the AM Vets and Marine Corp Ladies Auxiliary. She retired as a NY State employee, working as an auditor for Group Homes throughout the state. Lanette was proud of her heritage, enjoyed spending time with her family and liked the simple things in life. Survivors include a loving son, Steven LaRosa of Silver Creek, NY, a cherished grandson , Joshua Waterman of Irving, NY and her cat Boo 2. In addition to her parents, Lanette is preceded in death by a brother Wayne Nephew, and two sisters, Dawn Budd and Sharon Train. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m.,from where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
