Obituary of Thomas E. Taggart

Thomas E. Taggart, 62, of Silver Creek, NY died Thursday morning December 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 30, 1955 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Gordon and Janice (Fuller) Taggart. Thomas was a veteran of the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and the War in Afghanistan having served in the U.S. Marines and the Army National Guard for 26 years. He owned and operated the Full Circle Construction Co. in Silver Creek, specializing in remodeling. He belonged to the Silver Creek AMVETS and the Samuel Cimino VFW Post 6472. Thomas enjoyed fishing with his sons and being a diehard Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. He also was the captain of the AMVETS 1 pool team. Surviving are his children, Ryan (Trista) Taggart and Jeremy Taggart both of Silver Creek, Matthew (Heather) Taggart of Wiesbaden, Germany, two brothers, Steven Taggart of Jamestown, NY and Alan (Rebecca) Taggart of Buffalo, NY, three sisters, Deborah (Michael) Sexton of Springville, NY, Rebecca (Larry) Hodgson of Bolivar, NY and Wendy (Denver) Durfee of Seattle, WA., and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years Karen Taggart. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Wednesday, December 13,2017 from 4-7p.m., from where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10a.m., Interment will be in the Mt.
